Dr Matthew Young plays a central role in delivering AMCRC’s vision of building a world-leading and sustainable additive manufacturing future for Australia. As Chief Operating Officer, he leads organisational strategy and operations, ensuring the CRC functions as an effective national collaborator for additive manufacturing research and innovation. Matthew oversees operational development, partnership formation and project execution, working closely with industry, universities and government to enable co-invested research initiatives.

With a PhD in Materials Science and over 30 years of experience spanning metals production, aerospace composites, advanced manufacturing and CRC environments, Matthew brings strong technical and commercial insight to shaping programs that deliver meaningful outcomes for Australia industry.
